St George Utah Police Dept

The St. George Police Department is committed to providing quality services to our diverse community in ways that are helpful, caring and responsive. We believe the success of our organization depends on integrity in everything we do, pride in our work, dedication to our citizens, and in being the best we can be!

St. George, the Washington County Seat, is also the county’s largest city with over 80,000 residents. Washington County’s population is approximately 150,000 residents and growing.

We believe that because crime and public safety are community problems, the community and the police must work together to solve them. Citizens, the police department, other agencies and city government are all equally responsible to carry out this mission. Each must be willing to work together, to become involved, and to cooperate with each other to help make our city more enjoyable and safer for all.

If you have questions about crime here in St. George check the St George Police Department Crime Statistics records by CLICKING THE CRIME REPORT ICON AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE UNDER THE PICTURE. It must be said from the beginning that these statistics are not meant for comparison of St George Utah to other cities. Readers should not assume that a lower rate of reported offenses or lower rates of arrest in any given area will make that area “safer” or more desirable than another. Raw statistical data always needs to be tempered with good judgment and common sense.
