Southern Utah Zip Line Fun

This sky high attraction is on 40 acres of unspoiled desert and rivals many zip lines across the nation for its speed and spectacular scenery. Some have even said that it’s unlike any other zip line in the world with three consecutive zip line runs; each going faster than the one before.

You can find the Kanab Zip Line just a little over an hour’s drive east of St. George UT along Hwy 89 at the outskirts of town. The zip line is also a mile above sea level. The first zip line run is 950 feet long and 350 high. Run two zip line is 400 feet long and 70 feet high. Run three zip line is 400 feet long just above the ground. Run three zip line can also be ridden by two people.

This zip line is unique in itself. While most zip lines get adventure or amazing scenery, this zip line give you both adventure and amazing scenery. You get the best of both worlds on the Kanab Zip Line. Another great attribute to the zip line is that there are guides to do all the work for you. You don’t have to do any braking. You just have to enjoy the ride.

Each zip line run has weight limits. There is a 70lb minimum and 270lb maximum. The ride is usually 35 seconds long depending on the weight of the rider. It’s time is comparable to a roller coaster ride, so when you are up there, it seems like it’s much longer.

To get to the zip line, you will be taken to Vermilion Cliffs via four-wheel drive SUV. The entire experience from beginning to end is around 1.5 hours. The Kanab Zip Line is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can schedule a ride or get more information at 435-819-0697.
