Sunset at Entrada in St George Utah

My husband joined my son and his cub scout troop on a hike several weeks ago which ended up at a point overlooking Entrada in St George. He was so impressed with the view he had never seen, that he insisted I return with him to check it out. Well, we just couldn’t find the time while it was still cool here in St George Utah! We finally headed out to the Chuckwalla Trail in St George on Friday evening about 7:00 when the temperature was roughly 102 degrees with water bottles in hand. Needless to say, there weren’t any other hikers on the trail. We did encounter a jack rabbit and a few tiny lizards.

We arrived just as the sun was setting and it was definitely a sight to behold! All of the water you see is part of the intricate landscaping water features incorporated in Entrada at Snow Canyon. Several of the Entrada communities have water features behind each home. You can also see the world class Entrada at Snow Canyon golf course to the left of the photo.

In this photo you can see Red Mountain over shadowing Entrada just as the sun sets behind it. It was a great outing and one I’m glad I took, even if it was 102 degrees! I’ll have to return this fall when the temperatures have cooled off again.
