Fourth of July at Vernon Worthen Park in St George Utah is an annual event and tradition for many residents! This year’s theme for the event is “United We Stand”. Festivities are being held this year on Thursday, July 4th, 2013.
Start your day off with a home cooked breakfast provided by Staheli’s Catering (7:30am-10:00am) in the park – $5.00 per adult; $3.00 per child (12 and under). The menu includes pancakes, eggs & hashbrowns.
The “United We Stand” parade begins at 8:00 am. It is free to enter a float or group and prizes will be awarded.
At 9:00 am the National Anthem at the gazebo-Vernon Worthen Park
9:10 am-1:00 pm City of St. George Independence Day Fun & Games Extravaganza Bring the whole family for a fun day in the park! Many activities are free:
There will be music, food booths, face painting, cotton candy, watermelon seed spitting contest, bounce houses, Water Wars, Frisbee toss, football throw, homerun derby, dunk tank, climbing wall, dancing, obstacle course, our famous 100 foot Slip-n-Slide and new this year CrossFIt Ninja Warrior Challenge.

Giant Fireworks Display
A spectacular fireworks display will begin at approximately 10:00 pm following the free concert.
KONY Radio will broadcast live, during the FREE CONCERT at 8:00 pm and will also provide special musical accompaniment throughout the fireworks display.
