St. George and Washington County are wonderful places to be in the wintertime. There is so much fun stuff to do. Here are some of the great Holiday season activities going on in St. George, Washington County, and surrounding areas of southern Utah for 2021.
Monday Dec 6
The Gift of Art Show
This is the last day to enjoy this show. It runs from 9 am to 5 pm. The art show is hosted at the Red Cliff Gallery at 220 N 200 E in St. George. The show features artworks from local artists in a range of mediums including many different types of painting and sculpture art
Christmas Lane
A special holiday display of lights from participating home owners behind the Cedar City Motor Company near the golf course in Cedar City. Homes in the loop all set up displays that tell part of the Clement C. Moore classic Christmas poem most popularly referred to as “The Night Before Christmas.” Lights are on display through the season, it is a popular and fun low key tradition in the area.
Nature Hills Live Nativity
Taking place form 6 to 8 pm at the Nature Hills Farm in Cedar City. This is a ticketed event at $3 per person with limited tickets sold each night. Tickets can be purchased online at the farm’s website, or at the entrance if there are some left. It is a great interactive event outdoors after dark. Journey through the streets of Bethlehem searching for Mary, meet the wise men, see the shepherds, and end at the stable where the baby is born.
Refreshments will be available for sale and the farm store will be open. This event is also open on the 13th.
Wednesday Dec 8
Holidays at the Homestead
Taking place at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum in Cedar City from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. Tickets are $2 each or $8 per family. There will be holiday activities, crafts, and entertainment.
Friday December 10
Southwest Symphony Handel’s Messiah
From 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Cox Performing Arts Center in St. George. The center is located at 325 South 700 East. Tickets range from $18 to $30 with discounts for seniors and students. This is an award-winning symphony performing the favorite Christmas classic that everyone has come to love.
Saturday Dec 18
DUE WEST
A popular American Country Music trio performing favorite Christmas Classics and original holiday music. Tickets are $32. The concert will be at the Cox Performing Arts Center.
Tuesday Dec 21
Irish Christmas in America
Taking place at the Cox Performing Arts Center from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Tickets are $30. This is a very popular Christmas show featuring Irish music, amazing dance, history, humor, and tons of high-level cheerful energy. It is a family friendly performance that brings the long-honored holiday traditions of Ireland to life.
