It’s almost time for the  annual Washington City Cotton Days celebration which begins on April 25, 2016.  The event kicks off with the Historical Society Ice Cream Social on April 26, at Veterans Memorial Park.   More fun & activities  throughout the week with the WCCC Splash Party, Cotton Days 5k, Barrel Racing and Junior Rodeo and so much more.

Ice Cream Social Historical Society

Cotton Days Jr. Rodeo
Apr 27, 5:30 pm.
For kids 17 and under to compete in events that include barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway, poles, flag chase, team roping, and much more while competing for trophies and buckles. This year’s rodeo will include mutton bustin’ that will allow all kids to come and get a little dirty.  Register online as a participant at

Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast

Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast of ham, eggs and pancakes at Veterans Park from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday prepared by our own Washington City Lions Club. Our Mayor Kenny Neilson may even serve you personally.

Cotton Days 5K

This fun and family-friendly event celebrates the founding of Washington City. The start and finish line will be in front of the Old Church near the intersection of Telegraph St. and Main St.

Cotton Days Tractor Pull

As part of the Washington City Cotton Days week-long celebration, come have fun and celebrate at the Washington City Community Center Splash Party! If you have not had an opportunity to walk the halls of this monumental building then this is your chance. If you already have, then they invite you back. There will be activities for the whole family and great discounts for annual memberships.

This evening will provide your whole family with the opportunity to enjoy the facility for FREE. Water walker balls, foam bubbles, vendor booths. live music, and light refreshments all included. Free for Community Center Members and Washington City Residents. The first 100 people in line to purchase an annual membership of $200 or more will receive $75 off. Memberships below $200 will receive $50 off. A monthly promotion (Summer Family of Fun Pass) of $125 is on sale for a family for 3 months will be on sale tonight and all enrollment fees waived!
