You can also learn all about the dinosaurs in ways of anatomy, nutrition and behavior. Bring the kids and let them learn all about the field of paleontology.
What is the Discovery Site at Johnson Farm?
This is an area designated for discovery and adventure! Here, there are preserved artifacts like fossil fish and plants, dinosaur remains, trace fossils, and other sedimentary structures. In addition to these rare items, you can actually walk where the dinosaur’s walked, on the specifically-preserved dinosaur tracks. The main feature of the discovery site is to exhibit the environment of the Early Jurassic lakeside where thousands of dinosaurs walked searching for carnivorous foods. This area is rich in history unique to St George Utah and it is a top site for paleontologists.
There is a children’s area located inside the museum that is hands-on, and has puzzles and books. Outside of the museum, there is a special and super fun place known as Dino Park. Kids can scavenger for fossils along the sandy path. If you are looking to get interactive with your kids, this is the place!
