St. George, UT Activities for Kids

Now that it’s summer, you can expect to see lots of events and activities all around St. George, UT this month that are especially designed for kids. Therefore, I have found several that you may be interested in.

Fun kids events & activities in St. George, UT:

Boredom Buster Day Camp – Even though St. George summers get really hot, kids still love to play. So, sign them up for a fun camp that is based at the St. George Recreation Center. Your kids will be busy playing, running, jumping and having lots of fun with games such as floor hockey, kickball, catch the dragon’s tail and more.

Dates: Session 1 – June 3-7; Session 2 – June 17-21; Session 3 – July 8-12; Session 4 – July 22-26.

Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Fee: $24

Age: Session 1 & 2: 3 to 5 years old; Session 3 & 4: 6 to 9 years old

Location: St. George Recreation Center

10 N Under Tennis Clinic – This program was designed by the USTA to help your child learn how to play tennis with the right size rackets, court, and balls. Each staff member is dedicated to helping children learn the proper techniques to play tennis, which improves their progress rapidly. Each child goes at their own pace and advances when they are ready. There is no pressure in this program.

Dates: June 4, 2013 (6 weeks) or June 6 (6 weeks)

Time: 9:30 am to 10:30 am

Fee: $90 for 1 week, $120 for 2 weeks, $170 for 2 weeks plus 6 semi-private lesions.

Age: 4 to 10 years

Location: Tonaquint Tennis Center

Tonaquint Nature Center Day Camp Wiggly Worms – Bring your young ones to enjoy activities that relate to environmental crafts, education and tribal challenges. All sessions are held at the Tonaquint Nature Center.

Date: Session 1: June 3-7; Session 2: June 10-14

Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Fee: $40

Location: Tonaquint Nature Center

Youth Racquetball Clinic – Let your kids get their fill of racquetball on one of the four best racquetball courts in Utah. All skill levels are allowed and equipment is provided; however, eyewear is required during play.

Date: Session 1: June 4-6; Session 2: June 18-20

Time: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Fee: $25

Age: 8-14 years

Location: St. George Recreation Center

St. George Municipal Pool’s – Cool off this summer with an aquatic based program that will teach your kids how important water safety is. All children will gain knowledge and skills that will prepare them for future lifeguard certification.

Date: June 3-27

Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Fee: $65

Age: 10 – 15 years

Location: St. George City Pool
