Two Great Saturday Farmer’s Markets in and around St. George
Zion Canyon farmers market –
Saturday, August 26 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. This farmers market runs all the way through October 14 in Springdale Utah at 1212 Zion Park Blvd. This farmers market is amazing and happens no matter what the weather is doing. It on the lawn of the Bit and Spur restaurant across from Switchback Grill and the Holiday Inn express.
This farmers market offers local farmers and backyard growers a place to sell their produce, bakery goods meats, and cheeses. They also want to educate consumers about local farming and seasonal eating.In addition to farmers market produce and items, there’s also live music. Coming up on August 26 is field day but on September 23 the musical guest will be Nathan Spencer and on September 30, the musical guest will be Pine Mountain Bluegrass Band.
Zion Canyon community garden, which is on the same site as the farmers market, was established in 2008 and is sponsored by the town of Springdale and Zion harvest. There are spots still available for 2017 if you’d like to start some late summer or early fall plantings.
Tuacahn Saturday Market –
This market is every Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM until October 21. Because mornings are cooler in the canyon, this farmers market offers local artists and artisans as well as live local entertainment. There’s always something new, fresh and fun at the Tuacahn Saturday Market. This is a little bit different as you’ll find more arts and crafts, home decoration, gifts and souvenirs then at the Zion Canyon farmers market. You’ll also find fresh produce and seasonal groceries. This is located at the Tuacahn amphitheater at 1100 Tuacahn in Ivins Utah.
There’s more than just the market going on every Saturday from 9-1. The market is open every Saturday, year-round, weather permitting. Admission and live entertainment are always free. This popular event is located along the tree-lined walkway next to a beautiful running water feature. You can even stop and purchase a pancake breakfast with bacon and juice at the Snow Canyon Café. After 11:00 AM, lunch and beverages are also available until 8:00 PM. There is a multitude of tables around perfect for that picnic or you can simply bring a blanket and relax on the grass. Grab lunch, souvenirs, and gifts for everyone you know.
