Southern Utah Peach Days…A Heritage Celebration

Peach Days is here in Southern Utah once again. This 16th annual celebration of our heritage will begin today and run through Saturday. You will get to enjoy entertainment, a parade, a rodeo, Pioneer Corner, a 12K fun run, a peach cook-off and so much more. Therefore, I have a list of activities you can enjoy at the festival. So, bring your family, friends and your appetite and get ready to have tons of fun.

Peach Days Event Details:

√ Thursday, August 28, 2014 – All day judging and setup

12pm – 7pm – Food, commercial & homemade booths set up

4pm – 8:30pm – Garden, flowers, bottled, baked & candy types of goods and entries to be turned in

6pm – Hurricane’s Got Talent and preliminary round in the Fine Arts Building

√ Friday, August 29, 2014 – Home and fine arts and garden, flowers, baking and bottling displays in the Community Center Building

Quilt Show by Zion Piecemakers Quilt Guild members only in the Fine Arts Building

Food, commercial, homemade booths open up. Candy cannon and pioneer games at Kiddie carnival

10am – Peach Days opens

10am – 10pm – Quilt camp from 10 am to 10pm.

12pm – Continuous entertainment on two stage locations

4pm – Eating contest for family of four of hot dogs on the Fine Arts Lawn

6pm – Eating contest for family of four of sliders on the Fine Arts Lawn

6:30pm – Opening program on the north lawn

7pm – Come See Our Valley at the Fine Arts Building

8:30pm – Movie in the park. Bring blankets or chairs to watch Disney’s Planes on the grass west of Fine Arts Building

10pm – All displays close

√ Saturday, August 30, 2014 – Home and fine arts and garden, flowers, baking and bottling displays at the Community Center Building.

Quilt Show by Zion Piecemakers Quilt Guild members only in the Fine Arts Building

6:15am – 12k Fun Run. Registration begins at 5:30am in the Community center parking lot

6:30am – Historic Hurricane Canal Trail Trek with strenuous and moderate levels in Heritage Park

8am – Historic Hurricane Canal Trail Trek with easy levels at the trail head at 200 North 200 East

9am – Parade line up at 8 a.m. along 400 South. Parade route cleared from 7-11am, which starts at 400 South Main, north to 100 South; west to 300 West; then south to 300 South ending at Red Brick Church parking 300 South 300 West

10am – HHS All Class Reunion: after parade until noon in the Reunion Room Community Center Building

10am -1pm – Home Depot kids kit activity on the lawn by pickle ball courts

2-6pm – Hurricane’s Got Talent, the final round in the Fine Arts Building

2pm – Eating contest for family of four with pizza on the Fine Arts Lawn

5pm – Eating contest for family of four with cobbler on the Fine Arts Lawn

5pm – Peach Cook-off. Enter dishes from 4:30-5pm, judging will start at 5pm on the Community Center Building south sidewalk

7pm – Come See Our Valley in the Fine Arts Building

7pm – Rodeo at the Rodeo grounds north of town by swimming pool

8pm – Concerts on two stage locations

9pm – Displays will close

9:30pm – Fireworks will be discharged near the Community Center. You can watch from most places in town or at the Community Center

10pm – Peach Days events end
