St. George, UT area residents can look forward to some great events this September. The fun starts with the Night Flight Over Dixie Golf Tournament then goes onto a Community Preparedness Expo, Santa Clara Swiss Days and ends with the 15th annual Red Rock Car Show.

September 7, 2012: Night Flight Over Dixie Golf Tournament
Time: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Venue: Sand Hollow Golf Course at 5625 W Clubhouse Dr. Hurricane
Price: $50 per player – includes dinner and 18-holes of championship golf fun
September 8, 2012: Community Preparedness Expo – When you need to be prepared during catastrophe there’s no better way than to be at this year’s expo. You will learn what you can do to be better prepared with food storage on a budget and how to use social media to keep up-to-date with community happenings. This year’s keynote speaker will be Davis Heaton from the Southwest Utah Health Department. He will teach how to use “Block Parties and Warning Stones” to be better prepared. There will also be vendor booths with information and preparedness products.
Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm – vendor booths will be open until 4:30 pm
Venue: Dixie Center, St. George
September 28, 2012: Santa Clara Swiss Days – This celebration is truly a home-town event that is chock full of fun and history. The first Swiss Days were celebrated in Santa Clara in 1990 with a tribute to the town’s pioneer heritage of 1861. The celebration will include at 5 kilometer walk/run, the Swiss Days parade, and a pancake breakfast. The parade will start at the LDS Chapel on Santa Clara Drive and continue on to Town Hall where it will showcase everything from homemade floats to Harley Davidson motorcycle groups. The Red Rock Car Show will also be featured at the event in Canyon View Park, dog demonstrations, kids events and lots of entertainment.

September 29, 2012: Red Rocks Car Show – Join in the fun and be part of the action at the 15th annual Red Rocks Car Show, which will be hosted by the St. George Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce. This event will be held in conjunction with Santa Clara’s Swiss Days Celebration.
Time: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Venue: 1400 North Canyon View Drive, Santa Clara
Price: Free to view – vendors pay $125 booth space no power or $150 booth space with power.
