The Wizard of Oz-such a timeless classic for the whole family!

  • When: Thursday, June 5 through Oct. 17, 8:45 pm to 11:45 pm
  • Where: Tuacahn Amphitheatre, 1100 N. Tuacahn Dr.

  • Details:  An old time favorite the Wizard of Oz is designed to please audiences of all ages. Showings will run June 5 through Oct. 17 on varying days of the week and at different hours, dependent on sunset times.

Archaeological Field Day-why not spend the day in Zion National Park?

  • Where: Zion National Park Human History Museum

  • Details: Spend a day in the field with a Zion archaeologist and get a feel for the daily comings and goings of this fascinating profession. We’ll start at 9 am and go until 3 or 4 pm. Bring lunch and lots of water and expect to hike, get dirty, and be tired by the end of the day. You might do site survey work, or cataloging, or any number of archaeological tasks. INSTRUCTOR: Member of Zion Archaeological staff.

Thursday Trek

  • When: Thursday, June 5, 9:00 am – 2:00
  • Where: Zion National Park Human History Museum
  • Cost: $45
  • Details:Field Institute treks are a great way to explore and learn about Zion. Join a field institute naturalist for an introduction to the geology, flora, fauna, and cultural history of Zion. Foray into the park with a naturalist to learn about how animals and plants survive during Zion’s intense summer season. Learn about how Zion Canyon was formed and the geological activity still taking place in the park. Bring your camera for photo opportunities. Interpretive hikes are the naturalist’s choice with each program a unique outdoor learning adventure. Destinations and trails vary. Limited to 11 participants. Jurassic Quest-Who doesn’t love dinosaurs?

  • When: Friday, June 6th: Noon – 8 pm, Saturday, June 7th: 10am – 8pm
  • Where: Dixie Center, 1835 Convention Center Drive
  • Cost: Adults – $18, 2-12 – $13, Military – $16, Seniors – $16
  • Details: The sights and sounds of living, breathing dinosaurs. Over 50 Life-like Dinosaurs
    Towering Inflatables. Come enjoy dinosaur exhibits, rides, fossil digs, crafts and coloring. Brand New Event!

Cars and Coffee-Come out and enjoy a gorgeous St George morning & some delicious coffee!

  • When: Saturday, June 7, 10:0 am – 12:00 pm
  • Where: Perks on Sunset, 1515 W. Sunset Blvd
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: A gathering for all automobile enthusiasts to display their vehicles, while checking out other vehicles! Get to know other car enthusiast from Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and those visiting our area and wish to stop by. This is a regularly recurring car event, held on the 1st Saturday of each month.
