The Sun River St George housing market is HOT, HOT, HOT!  Available inventory is shrinking and prices are rising this summer. Check out the latest statistics below~

SunRiver is the premier active adult 55+ community in southern Utah. Residents of Sun River can enjoy golf, lawn bowling, horseshoes, walking, biking and pickleball to name a few of the amenities offered.  Don’t mistake that Sun River St George is  a “rest home”.  It is probably the furthest thing from it! There is a calendar full of events and activities provided for it’s residents to enjoy. Think of it as a cruise on land.

There are always new people moving into SunRiver, and many are from out of town/state and looking to make friends. One suggestion for making the transition into SunRiver is to get to know the people living around you. Be friendly & outgoing, don’t wait for others to introduce themselves to you. Learn people’s names, and ALWAYS smile! Being friendly and sociable to those around you is an easy way to make life in your retirement community better for everyone.

4 homes sold for between $200,000-$250,000
2 homes sold for between $250,000-$300,000
3 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
1 home sold for between $400,000-$500,000
1 home sold for between $500,000-$600,000

For a year over year comparison-

Average Sales Price in July 2013 was $278,802-July 2012 was $310,644. Sales prices decreased 10.25% from July 2012-July 2013. 


Given the number of sales, there is a 3.17 months supply of SunRiver homes for sale which is down 50.39% from last year at this time when there was 6.39 months supply of SunRiver homes for sale.

In July 2013, homes in SunRiver sold for 97.5% of their original listed price!

There were 42 homes for sale in July 2013 which is 24 less than last year at the same time.  Inventory has decreased by 36.4% and will continue to decline as demand rises.


Prices are great, although they look to be rising and inventory of homes for sale in SunRiver is declining too.  interest rates are at historic lows which makes this a wonderful time to purchase a home in SunRiver St George!  It looks like the St George Utah real estate market is bouncing back and prices are starting to rise.  You’d better hurry if you want take advantage of the great opportunites currently available in SunRiver!  According to the developer, building costs are on the rise, so now could be the perfect time to buy
