St George Utah Housing Market Conditions~January 2012

St George Utah Housing Market Conditions showed little change in January 2012 from December 2011.  Average sales price decreased from $197,507 to $191,199 which is approximately -3.2%. Total number of homes sold in January 2012 also decreased, from 230 sold in December 2011 to 164 sold in January 2012.  Typically sales drop during this time of year due to the holidays, so this is nothing unusual.

The total number of St George Utah homes for sale that were listed on the Washington County UT mls in the month of January 2012 was 1581.  There were 245 homes “under contract” and pending sale during January 2012.
