Ready for some fall fun in St George UT?  Be sure to visit one of the best corn mazes and pumpkin patch in southern Utah this year.  It’s the Staheli Family Corn Maze or “Maize” as it’s fondly referred to. For those seeking more chills and thrills they also have the Field of Screams.  Opening date for the popular corn maze this year is September 20, 2021 and it stays open until October 30, 2021 (closed Sundays and Halloween).  For more information on the corn maze click here.

This year’s maze theme is “20 Years of Fun in Dixie”.  The Staheli Family Farm Maze is celebrating it’s 20th year of fall St George UT corn mazefun and family traditions.  An aerial view of the maze displays the theme and some icons of the St George UT area.

All ages are welcome to visit and enjoy the corn maze.  Have fun with your family and friends making your way out of the maze.  If you think you’ll need a little direction, take a map!  Race your friends to the finish or make up games as you wander through the tall corn stalks.  It’s a great way to spend a cool fall evening and you’re sure to leave happy.

Perfect for fall photos, the pumpkin patch is also a fun stop while you’re visiting the farm.  You can take photos and also choose a pumpkin to take home!  They have all shapes and sizes of pumpkins to choose from.  The patch is restocked weekly during the event so there’s always plenty of fresh pumpkins! Take Note, only those who purchase a wristband will be allowed in the pumpkin patch.  If you only want a photo or to pick a pumpkin the least expensive ticket is a corn maize admission ticket.

This real working farm is complete with sights, sounds, smells and more to give it that country feel.  You can ride the cow train, pet some farm animals, take a wagon ride, and go through the field of screams if you dare.

Interesting Facts about the farm-

Staheli Family FarmThe Staheli family farm is made up of 350 acres that was established in 1889 by Frank Staheli Sr.  He was a vegetable farmer who immigrated from Switzerland and was also one of Washington UT’s first mayors.

Over the years, the farm has been used for many agricultural reasons through a university extension program that has been a major player in the St. George UT and surrounding areas.  Twenty years ago they decided it was important to educate children about where their food comes from.  They opened the farm to the public for special events and haven’t looked back.  During the month of October alone, the farm sees an average of 30,000 visitors.

2021 attractions include: Corn maze, Field of Screams, pumpkin patch, farmland, spooky trick or treat trail, campfire & s’mores, meet the witches, petting zoo and nightly entertainment. Plenty of food concessions available too that includes corn bread n’ soup, BBQ sandwiches, corn dogs and their secret family made caramel pumpkin pie.
