Southern Utah Golf Courses

Southern Utah, especially St. George, has more golf courses per capita than anywhere else in the sunbelt. Many of the golf courses were designed by legendary designers, such as Matt Dye, Bill Neff, Keith Foster, Johnny Miller, and Fred Bliss.

Southern Utah truly offers golfing for every kind of golfer imaginable, from beginners to masters. Southern Utah golf courses are frequently featured in Golf Digest and other popular magazines, on TV, and even in computer games, such as Links LS ’99.

Golf Courses

Bloomington Country Club
Bloomington Country Club, designed by Bill Neff and built in 1969, was Southern Utah’s 2nd golf course, and first members-only golf course.

Coral Canyon Golf Course
Coral Canyon is located just off the Hurricane exit of I-15, 10 miles north of St. George. Many golfers already consider it one of the top courses in the state.

Entrada at Snow Canyon
It is hard to imagine a golf course in a more beautiful setting than Entrada at Snow Canyon. The lush greens against the red rock backdrop of Snow Canyon is simply breath-taking. Entrada is also one of the most challenging courses in the area. Entrada was even featured in Links LS ’99 computer golf game!

Green Spring Golf Course
Green Spring Golf Course, operated by Washington City, has been ranked in Golf Digest magazine and is known for its brilliant use of natural obstacles in game play. The course sits at the base of the red rock foothills below Pine Valley Mountain, creating constant panoramic views while you play.

Sand Hollow Resort
Measuring over 7,300 yards, 2008 Golf Magazine’s #6 best new course is unmatched. The Championship Course utilizes dramatic elevation changes, natural sandstone ledges, and extraordinary rock outcroppings to create a picturesque golf environment. The 18 championship holes feature four sets of tees for all varieties of golfers. Tightly mown fairways surrounded by vibrant red sand hazards lead into seamless greens ranging from 4,000 to 15,000 square feet. Encircled by the desert’s indigenous plant life and the panoramic beauty of Utah’s “Color Country,” Sand Hollow Resort’s Championship Course brings a golfer’s dreams to life.

Sky Mountain Golf Course
Sky Mountain Golf Course is maintained by Hurricane City, located 15 miles northeast of St. George. The view over the Virgin River gorge as you look up towards Pine Valley Mountain is fantastic. Sky Mountain offers a challenging 18 holes, par 72.

St. George City Golf Courses
The City of St. George, Utah maintains 4 golf courses: Sunbrook, Dixie Red Hills, Southgate, and The St. George Golf Club (formerly Bloomington Hills). The city website has course descriptions, links to the course websites, and a link to book tee times online.

Sun River
Built in the Sun River retirement community, the Sun River golf course is on the south side of the St. George area, right on the Utah / Arizona border. It sits right next to the Virgin River and is said to have some of the best greens in the state.
