doremi-photoFannatiku Fest is a non-profit, Anime Convention held annually in St. George, Utah. The convention is organized by Anime Fannatiku, and is sponsored by the Washington County Library System. This year’s convention will be held March 27th and 28th, at the Dixie Convention Center.

Attendees from all over the Western United States will be present to enjoy all that Southern Utah has to offer! Fannatiku Fest came on the scene in 2007 and drew 200 attendees. Since then, what started as a half-day event has turned into a full two-day convention that has attracted over 400 people annually since 2010.

This convention is for anyone who loves Japanese animation, American comics, and costuming in general.  At a smaller convention like Anime, be prepared to make many friends. Coming in costume will help, especially if other attendees are wearing attire from the same series.

There are costume contests, Anime screenings, how to workshops, fan panels, a masquerade ball, art contests, industry guests, and much more for all to enjoy!

Because there are a lot of hard-to-understand elements of such a hobby, Fannatiku Fest has focused its efforts on creating a family-friendly event. Not only do the planners encourage vendors to only display age appropriate merchandise, but they also invite families and parents of fans to learn what the culture is all about.

Passes at the door will be $30 for the two days; Friday only is $15 and Saturday only is $20. Children between 8 and 12 years old are $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday. Children under 7 years old can attend free of charge.

Visit the Fannatiku Fest website for additional information and convention schedule.
