This summer the city is packed with summertime activities for the whole family ranging from rich heritage to plentiful art to delicious food adventures and so much more. Therefore, I want showcase some of the events that you will find on a regular basis this July in St. George UT events.

St. George UT Events

City of St. George UT Public Pool and Recreation Center

As daytime temps reach the triple digits, it is the perfect time to take advantage of the public pool. There will be summer kids programs each day for children and fun events for adults too. Kids can enjoy the recreation center activities with summer fun camp of arts and crafts for a very low fee. Adults can also get a good workout of their own while their kids are having fun.

St. George UT Sunset on the Square

Each 2nd and 4th Friday through July and August, you can enjoy the outdoor movie theater that Downtown St. George UT is transformed into. There is always good food, fun and family-friendly movies available to the entire St. George UT community. Classic movies for children and adults are shown on a giant screen under the stars. The movies this month are “The Lego Movie” on July 10 and “Three Amigos” on July 24. You just need to bring your favorite blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the evening and the movie. The movie is free to the public and begins at dusk.

St. George UT Downtown Farmers Market in Ancestor Square

The Downtown Farmers Market in Ancestor Square is growing strong each year. This weekly favorite is held each Saturday morning through Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. until noon. The beautiful bounty of baked goods, artisan crafted goods, and fresh, seasonal produce available each week keeps shoppers returning to see what is available. Turning out to shake the hand of the one who grew, baked, or created the items is a highlight for shoppers. The market is free to the public and includes live music performed by local musicians starting each Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

St. George UT Concert in the Park Series

This concert series is held on the second Monday of each month from now through September. This fun event is quickly becoming a popular activity. June’s performance brought an estimated 1,500 people together under the canopy of shade trees for the John Denver tribute artist, Ted Vigil. The event is free and is held at Vernon Worthen Park. You can enjoy the concerts at 7:30 p.m. On July 13, Nino Reyes, a Native American flutist, will take the stage. Park seating is available. To enjoy it best, bring your blankets, lawn chairs, food, and family.
